詹姆斯·L. Hamner 公共图书馆 attained its charter in 1973. Construction of the current building began in 1999 and the library opened to the public in July 2000. The library, located in Amelia Court House, is named after Dr. 詹姆斯Loving Hamner, a deceased physician in Amelia County.
